In a back room that used to my my grandfather’s office, I found a makeshift family photo album. Photographs were glued into a manufacturer’s catalog. The pages are disintegrating, photos are falling out. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen. My grandmother told me the stories and names behind a few photographs. I wrote it down and added it to the book so the next finder will know.

There’s still fungus on the walls and it smells of mushrooms and wine.

I love doors into doors, looking past and into. This kind of portal makes my heart flutter.

Every time you opened the door, the plastic sheets flew as though something were coming up the tunnel toward you. We moved quickly.
